Do you have standard plans?

  • Yes, We have a selection of over 25 Standard Plans available in steel and timber frames.

Do you have your own designer?

  • Yes, We have two experienced designers to meet your needs.

How do we go about selecting colours and P.C items such as appliances, door handles, vanities etc ?

  • If required, the services of a qualified colour consultant and interior designer are available to assist you in making those decisions.

Do we have to stay with the standard inclusions?

  • No, we can customise inclusions to suit your project. If you would prefer to upgrade from our standard range you can choose your products and we can either include them in your contract or you can add them as a variation.

What sort of quotation do you provide?

  • We issue a 'Budget Estimate' initially, which is a 4 page document generally outlining what is involved with the construction of your home based on information received. If you are happy with the 'Budget Estimate', a full 'Quotation' is then done after the critical trades have visited the site. This takes about two weeks. At the same time a full Basix report will be done. If you proceed with the Project the Full Quotation and Basix report are free. If you do not proceed then the quotation is free, but the Basix report will cost you $200.00. Your fixed Price Quotation is valid for 120 calander days.

Do you include driveways and landscaping as part of your quotation?

  • We only include driveways and landscaping as part of a complete package if requested. We recommend that for single homes the owners organise these works after K.P.G has handed over the property.

Can we supply our own products?

  • Yes, you can supply your own products and K.P.G Homes will install them for you.

Can I use my own trades for some sections of the work?

  • Yes, Only if evidence of their contractors license, a copy of their OH&S Work method statement and a certificate of currency for their Workers Compensation/Public Liability is submitted to K.P.G before the work commences. Any of their workers must give evidence of successful completion of their Workcover Induction course. They must comply with all requests from K.P.G who are accountable for all people within the site.

Can I do some of the work myself?

  • Not unless you comply with the same requirements as stated above.

Will you submit my plans to council?

  • Yes, This is part of our Quality, hassle free service.

If I supply my own plan for a Quote, will I get it back?

  • No, unfortunately once a copy of your plans has been submitted to K.P.G we can not return this plan as it forms part of our pricing for your quotation. If you are submitting plans to K.P.G they must be copies only, we will not accept any original documentation.

How do we go about getting a quote from you?

  • Contact us and our Designer will ring and make an appointment to visit you at your home and bring the complete range of our houses for your selection. After your selection or modifications, this info will go to our Estimator who will provide a Budget Estimate within 10 working Days. It is helpful if you have a scaled survey of your block or a contour plan survey which will make the Budget estimate more accurate.

Do we have access to our site during construction?

  • No, due to OH & S regulations clients are not permitted to enter a K.P.G Homes job site unless the visit is organised with a site supervisor or representative of K.P.G Homes. You will also need to be site inducted prior to any on-site meetings. Construction keys are issued to trades and employees only.

How long will it take to build my house?

  • Approximately 6 months, depending on the size of your house.

What type of building materials do you most commonly use?

  • Common materials at the moment include weatherboard, light weight cladding, brick veneer with render finish, blueboard, marine ply, Harditex and many more. We can offer most materials.

What type of sites do you build on?

  • We build on most sites. Eg Mines subsidence areas which require bearer & joists or pothole footings, sloping sites, narrow blocks etc.

What type of Building Contract do you use?

  • The HIA NSW Residential Building Contract for New Dwellings

Once our construction starts, when are we required to make payments?

  • There are 7 stages of payment throughout a project. The stages include a deposit, slab or sub-floor, frame, close-in, line-out, paint & completion.

Can we change our selections during construction?

  • We strongly recommend that you don't, but if you do make any changes they must be authorised by K.P.G with any cost adjustments and extensions of time being issued to the client for approval.

Where do we make our selections?

  • We have a prefered supplier list which is handed out before contracts are signed. It is up to the client to visit the showroom of each supplier. Selections once made with the supplier are finalised at the K.P.G office with Kim, our Project Manager.

What type of communication do we have with the company during construction?

  • Our staff are available at any time during office hours. You will also have a supervisor allocated to your job and you will be given his direct number.

What about insurances on my home?

  • We insure all of our homes with HIA Insurance. They issue a Home Owners Warranty certificate which gives you a 6 year structural guarantee on your home. We also carry Construction All Risk and Public Liability Insurance.

Do you supply me with an Occupancy Certificate on completion of works?

  • No, we do not issue this certificate. It is however available through your local council on completion of all works covered under the Develoment conditions of your project.
